On our first day off from clinic our hosts took us to a pottery-making place. We learned how mounds of clay are made into logs, then cut into smaller sizes to make pots.
Andrea was the only one who dared to make a pot from a fresh slab of clay!
We watched this man make this pot in 1 minute and 30 seconds...we timed him!

This incredibly talented 12 year old girl learned her craft when she was 10 years old. It took her only a month to learn. She works here designing pots in order to pay for school.
The details on this pot are done quickly and beautifully!
