Dr. Joyce Medina (from Store #268) found a staphyloma in both eyes, an old retinal detachment and a recent retinal tear in the left eye of this recipient. Dr. Paul Michelson (opthalmologist from San Diego, CA) was able to confirm what we found with binocular indirect opthalmoscopy. We referred her for treatment of the retinal tear.

Dr. Cindy Cieszko (from Store #156) also found that she has very high myopia (nearsightedness) around -16.00 diopters in both eyes. We were able to hand-pick a pair of -14.00 glasses for her. She told us that she had a very old pair of glasses that she hasn't used in years because they didn't work for her anymore. She was so happy that she can see again with her "new" pair of glasses!
